too many commas

Kristin's birthday painting

I made this up for my sister Kristin's birthday and Express mailed it to her house. $35 in shipping later, it arrived and is now proudly displayed on her wall. She said it was "exactly what she'd buy for herself if she was in the store," which, even if it isn't true, is a very sweet lie.

Back to kindergarten

Here's a painting made of kindergarten staples: paper, watercolor and crayons. Although I did use permanent marker, which I should replace with washable Crayolas if I really wanted to go old-school, literally. Oh well.

I realize that I primarily paint faces. I realize that this is a problem. I should branch out. I made a flower that night, too, but it turned out so darn boring that I don't even feel like posting it. People, well, they always turn out interesting.

Feeling green

I did this painting a week ago with acrylics on canvas. It didn't end up looking like the intended subject, but I was pretty happy with it, given the time frame (about two hours). Don't mind the glare; I had a lot of trouble photographing it without a flash or glare. Stupid camera.
